I was musing the other night on the fact that D & L are immortal, barring disaster or other circumstances (and I just realized that this fic negates "Nemesis"...I've been ignoring that movie's ending for so long that I didn't even think to put 'AU' in the summary. Whoops). Anyway, this fic was a result of that. What must it be like for them, once they come to the realization that they will outlive every other being they meet? How would someone deal with that? It's very sad, but also interesting to explore.
