I've been reading the whole series(marvelous, by the way) in one go(almost), and after each installment I went "but where is Mycroft in all of this? Even if the writers dislike him as a character & in this 'verse his relationship with Sherlock is strained, he's still an interfering git. I can't believe he doesn't have PLENTY to say about everything. Is he dead? On a mission to Mars?"
But you do mention him(yey) in passing, so he IS attached enough to Sherlock to go search for him in Russia & he IS involved enough with Jack to pick him up after school, so what gives, guys? Why the blackout?
