Well, I'm skipping over some stories I haven't managed to read yet, but I just couldn't wait for this because I love the Winter's Child verse. And it probably won't come as a surprise that I love this story as well. :-)
I know I'm like a broken record when it comes to paternal!Lestrade, but I did enjoy seeing him look after Sherlock in the waiting room, not to mention getting him access to John when only family was allowed to see him. It's great that it's Lestrade who points out to Sherlock that he and John are essentially a couple. Of course, Sherlock being Sherlock takes the emergency contact issue a step further and decides that he and John should get married. The dialogue around Sherlock's announcement and proposal is wonderful -- funny and sweet. I also found it touching that Sherlock wanted Lestrade to be his best man, and Lestrade decides to give Sherlock that pair of cuff links. Yes, this whole story is excellent as usual!
