Whoa, "Tell Me" is the first of the series?! Intriguing. So Lore got away from Maddox at a certain point - and only a few months later, if I read you correctly. I'd be most interested to see how exactly he managed that, and in what state he left Maddox... ;o)

And then he encountered Julian. What an untimely moment... for the doctor, that is... XD

Well..."Tell Me" is the first (chronologically) of the one-shots that I've posted. I'm batting around ideas for some fics that take place during the run of TNG, and I have a couple written up that take place after (though it might be a while before I decide those are decent enough to post). But yeah, that was my reaction, too. I hadn't realized how well I timed that fic and my dark_fest one until I actually sat down and figured out the timelines. Unfortunate for Bashir, indeed :D

Maddox's fate has already been written up...he'll be making an appearance here sometime in the (hopefully near) future ;)

Was your post created using LJ's rich text editor (RTE)?

If so, then the problem is probably because LiveJournal recently made some major changes to their rich text editor and, surprise surprise, it's not working out well :-P

Feel free to trot on over and add your complaints to everyone else's.

LiveJournal. When WILL they ever learn?

Yeah, I figured out finally that that was the case. I just thought it would be best to throw a note up there to let people know that I actually did not format that post so poorly!

What a frustrating thing for LJ to do!

I hear your frustration :-( I've been seeing this sort of thing all over the place.

Just wanted to add that if you originally created your post in Word, then pasted the text into the rich text editor to add it to LJ...

What you can do is use this online converter to convert the text from your Word doc into HTML.

Then just use the HTML pane (instead of the rich text editor pane), paste your converted text into that, and -- Bob's your uncle!

Fortunately LJ hasn't mucked about with the HTML side, so anything composed/pasted into the HTML pane is still working like a charm.

Oh, thank you for that! I'm still a bit...inadequate when it comes to LJ stuff, so that info helps. Thanks again! :)

I really like a lot of your fic and as we are fellow OT3 and John/Lestrade shippers I'd like to add you. Do you mind?

Oh, my dear, of course you can add me! I'm so flattered.

Can't believe how much you have written! How did you have time to go to school?

I have NO idea. My theory is that the laws of time and space do not apply to me.

Actually, though, I'm pretty sure the total word count of everything here is probably somewhere between 200,000 and 300,000. Isn't "Twist of Fate" just over that? And you wrote that over the course of several months. So it's about the same when you look at it that way.

Let's be honest - your writing is more sophisticated than mine. You are able to portray characters with much greater depth, my writing is easier and skims the surface with action rather than thought. Twist was very easy to write quickly because of this, now that I'm attempting to write more original stories it is much more difficult and slow-going.

I really need to watch the Sherlock series so I can appreciate that fandom better... maybe I'll make it my winter-project.

Ah, yes, original stories (and less canonical fanfiction)are much more time-consuming, but so rewarding once you pull them off. Planning and outlining are key.

The Sherlock fandom is interesting, to say the least. I was only ever lurking on the fringe of the Harry Potter fandom back when it was first getting off the ground, and I never more than dabbled in Star Trem. This one is the fandom I've been most involved in by far, and it's great for writing simply because there is so much wonderful setup in the show, and so much that goes unsaid. Fandom and writing aside, I think you'd like the show. Do let me know if/when you manage to watch it, because it's always nice to talk to someone else who has seen it :)
